Gorgias helpdesk plans run $10 to $750 a month as of October 2026, metered by tickets, and the AI Agent is billed per automated interaction on top, with each automated interaction also counted as a ticket. The plan cards mix the two: Pro is $300 a month billed annually as a helpdesk, and the $471 on the card is Pro with the AI Agent switched on. For a store doing 3,000 conversations a month on Pro with AI handling half, that comes to roughly $2,796 a month.
Take Velvet Fig Skincare, a made-up Shopify brand doing about 100 conversations a day. The founder picks Gorgias Pro because 2,000 tickets for $300 a month on annual billing looks like it covers most of the month. In week one they switch on the AI Agent, because it answers the order tracking questions at 11:47 PM that used to sit until morning. The first full month's bill comes to about nine times the $300 plan price. Nothing went wrong. The AI did its job, and the pricing page said exactly how it would be billed. It is easy to read the plan table and skip the two sentences under it.
Every page ranking for "gorgias pricing" reprints that table and stops. This one runs the total for one store, then prices the part the table does not sell: the setup.
Open your inbox, email and DMs and count last month's conversations, then make a fair guess at what share the AI would answer alone. Those two numbers are all you need to run every figure on this page for your own store.

Gorgias pricing plans, October 2026
These are the published plans on gorgias.com/pricing, read on October 28, 2026 and re-checked on November 4, 2026. Annual prices are billed upfront for 12 months. With the AI Agent added, each plan card shows the AI allowance as a second paid line on top of the helpdesk price.
- Starter. $10 a month for the helpdesk, monthly billing only. 50 tickets included, $0.40 per extra ticket. With AI Agent: $10 plus $30 for 30 automated interactions, $40 a month.
- Basic. $50 a month billed annually or $60 monthly. 300 tickets included, $0.40 per extra ticket. With AI Agent: $50 plus $27 for 30 interactions, $77 a month billed annually ($90 monthly).
- Pro. $300 a month billed annually or $360 monthly. 2,000 tickets included, $0.36 per extra ticket. With AI Agent: $300 plus $171 for 190 interactions, $471 a month billed annually ($550 monthly).
- Advanced. $750 a month billed annually or $900 monthly. 5,000 tickets included, $0.36 per extra ticket. With AI Agent: $750 plus $477 for 530 interactions, $1,227 a month billed annually ($1,430 monthly).
- Enterprise. Custom pricing, described as "for teams over 5,000 conversations a month with complex security, compliance, or integration needs."
Gorgias charges per ticket. The page says the helpdesk "scales from 50 to 5,000 tickets a month, never priced per agent." That is a real advantage if you have four people answering customers and a modest volume: adding a person does not add a line to the bill. Seats do have a ceiling. The plan comparison table lists 3 user seats on Starter and 500 on Basic, Pro and Advanced as of November 2026, so a team of four starts at Basic.
Going over your bundle is cheap per ticket and adds up fast. At 3,000 tickets a month on Pro, you pay $300 for the first 2,000 and $360 for the next 1,000 at $0.36, so $660 a month. Advanced covers all 5,000 for $750. On the helpdesk alone, the two paths cost the same at about 3,250 tickets, so below that Pro plus overage wins and above it Advanced does. With the AI Agent on, that changes, as the arithmetic below shows.
How much is the Gorgias AI Agent per resolution?
Gorgias puts the AI Agent on every plan and says you "pay only when it resolves a conversation." The page gives three numbers for that, in two places, as of November 2026. The FAQ reads: "AI Agent interactions are priced at $0.90 each on annual plans or $1.00 on monthly plans." Each plan card then reads: "Then a $1.50 per automated interaction fee past your limit."
The plan cards show how those fit together. The "included" interactions are bought upfront: Pro's 190 interactions cost $171 a month on annual billing, which is 190 at $0.90, and Advanced's 530 cost $477, which is 530 at $0.90. On monthly billing the same allowances are priced at $1.00 each. Every interaction past the allowance is then billed at $1.50. The comparison table lower on the page lists $0.85 for Advanced, while the card's $477 for 530 works out to $0.90, so this post uses the card.
So the $0.90 headline rate applies to the allowance you prepay, and the rate your extra volume pays is $1.50. For a store where the AI answers far more than 190 conversations a month, most of the AI bill is at $1.50. The page never puts all of that in one sentence, so ask Gorgias to confirm your overage rate in writing before you sign.
Does the AI reduce the ticket bill?
No. One line in the FAQ on gorgias.com/pricing changes the whole calculation, quoted exactly as it read on November 2, 2026: "Each AI Agent interaction also counts as a helpdesk ticket and is billed accordingly."
So one AI answer runs on two meters: the AI Agent line and your ticket count.
It is easy to assume the AI replaces tickets. If the AI answers half your customers, you would expect to pay for half as many tickets plus the AI. On Gorgias, you pay for all the tickets plus the AI. The AI charge stacks on top of the ticket charge, and the ticket charge stays where it was.
Here is Velvet Fig's month, at 3,000 conversations with the AI Agent answering 1,500 of them, on Pro, billed annually:
- Tickets: all 3,000 count, because the 1,500 automated interactions are tickets too. Pro covers 2,000 for $300, and 1,000 more at $0.36 is $360. Ticket cost: $660.
- AI allowance: Pro's 190 prepaid interactions add $171.
- AI overage: the other 1,310 interactions at $1.50 each are $1,965.
- Total: $660 plus $171 plus $1,965 is roughly $2,796 a month.
If Gorgias billed every interaction at the $0.90 headline rate, the total would be $2,010, which is why the overage rate is worth confirming in writing. Before the AI was switched on, Velvet Fig's bill at 3,000 tickets was $660. With the AI answering half, it is $2,796. The AI may well be worth it, because answers at 11:47 PM keep customers from asking twice or giving up. The point is to budget for the second line before it arrives.

Velvet Fig has one cheaper move. On Advanced, billed annually, the 3,000 tickets fit inside the $750 plan, the 530 prepaid interactions cost $477, and the other 970 at $1.50 are $1,455, for $2,682 a month. The bigger prepaid allowance makes Advanced about $114 a month cheaper than Pro at this volume, even with 2,000 tickets left unused.
The same Pro arithmetic on monthly billing comes to $720 in tickets, $190 for the allowance and $1,965 in overage, or about $2,875 a month. Annual billing takes about a sixth off the plan price on Basic, Pro and Advanced, and ten cents off each prepaid AI interaction, but you pay for 12 months upfront. If your volume is steady and you have run the numbers above, annual is cheaper. If you are still testing whether the AI earns its keep, a month or two on monthly billing costs a little more and commits you to less.
What the pricing page leaves out
The plan table prices software. It does not price the work of making that software answer your customers well.
Gorgias publishes a launch guide for Gorgias admins that walks the admin through five steps: connect your channels, connect your ecommerce store, configure your helpdesk, build your team of agents, and automate your workflows. That is the store owner's job, or the job of whoever they hire. In practice it means connecting apps, building a help center, writing macros, setting rules, and configuring and training the AI Agent on your own policies, then keeping all of it current through every launch and every sale.
The pricing page does mention help. It says "our team can help you migrate your data during onboarding" in answer to a question about importing tickets. It publishes no price or scope for that help as of November 2026, so it cannot go into a budget from the page alone.
So the real comparison has three lines: the software, the AI usage, and the hours somebody spends building and maintaining it. A founder doing 100 conversations a day with no CX hire usually has the budget for the first two and no time for the third.
That third line is where we sit. Support Fabric is a done-for-you AI customer support service for Shopify and WooCommerce brands. It deploys a custom AI agent across WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Messenger, website chat and email that answers customers in seconds, tracks orders, recommends products and closes sales in chat, with a 48-hour go-live. We do the build, the training and the launch ourselves, the AI usage is passed through at cost with no markup, and the store owner installs an app rather than handing over admin access. The plan and what it includes are on our pricing page, and the full rundown of what we do and do not do is in what is Support Fabric.
Who Gorgias is right for
Gorgias is a strong product, and for some stores it is the right answer on price as well.
A store that wants an inbox and little or no AI. Starter at $10 a month and Basic at $50 a month on annual billing are cheap ways to get every channel into one place, and the helpdesk is never priced per agent. If your team answers everything by hand and plans to keep doing so, Gorgias is hard to beat at that price.
A brand that needs deep Shopify-native actions inside a ticket. Gorgias documents Shopify actions that let an agent cancel, refund, edit and duplicate Shopify orders from the ticket, as of October 2026. That depth matters for a team processing many returns and changes every day. We do not match Gorgias on that.
Brands at 5,000 or more conversations a month. Gorgias routes those to Enterprise, with security, compliance and integration work priced on request. At that scale you want a vendor with thousands of brands on it and a team built for procurement. We do not match Gorgias there either.
Where the arithmetic turns is the store in the middle: 50 to 300 conversations a day, most of them on WhatsApp and Instagram DMs, no support hire, and an AI that would answer half the volume. That store pays the stacked bill above and still does the setup. If that is you, Gorgias alternatives for small Shopify brands sorts the other tools by who does the work.
Gorgias helpdesk plans run $10 to $750 a month as of October 2026, metered by tickets. The AI Agent adds a prepaid allowance at $0.90 per interaction plus $1.50 for each one past it, and each one also counts as a ticket, so a 3,000-conversation store on Pro with AI on half pays roughly $2,796 a month. Setup hours come on top.
Common questions
How much does Gorgias cost per month?
Gorgias costs $10 a month for Starter on monthly billing, $50 for Basic, $300 for Pro and $750 for Advanced on annual billing, as of October 2026, with monthly billing at $60, $360 and $900 for the last three. Enterprise is custom. The AI Agent is billed on top: a prepaid allowance at $0.90 per interaction annually, then $1.50 for each one past it, so Pro with AI starts at $471 a month.
Does Gorgias charge per ticket or per seat?
Gorgias charges per ticket. Its pricing page says the helpdesk "scales from 50 to 5,000 tickets a month, never priced per agent," as of October 2026. Each plan includes a ticket allowance and charges $0.36 to $0.40 per extra ticket. The plan comparison table lists 3 user seats on Starter and 500 on Basic, Pro and Advanced as of November 2026.
What happens when I go over my ticket bundle?
You pay per extra ticket: $0.40 on Starter and Basic, $0.36 on Pro and Advanced, as of October 2026. A store doing 3,000 tickets a month on Pro pays $300 for the first 2,000 and $360 for the rest, $660 in total. Advanced covers 5,000 tickets for $750, so on the helpdesk alone moving up saves money past about 3,250 tickets. With the AI Agent on, Advanced's larger prepaid allowance can make it cheaper sooner.
How much is the Gorgias AI Agent per resolution?
Each plan's AI allowance is prepaid at $0.90 per interaction on annual billing or $1.00 monthly, as of October 2026: Pro's 190 interactions cost $171 a month and Advanced's 530 cost $477. Interactions past the allowance are billed at $1.50 each. Each automated interaction also counts as a helpdesk ticket, so confirm the overage rate with Gorgias in writing before you budget.
Is the annual discount worth it?
Annual billing takes about a sixth off the Basic, Pro and Advanced plan prices and cuts the prepaid AI Agent allowance from $1.00 to $0.90 per interaction, as of October 2026. Overage stays at $1.50. The catch is that annual plans are billed upfront for 12 months. If your monthly volume is steady and you know what share the AI will answer, annual is cheaper. If you are still testing, start monthly.
Is Gorgias worth it for a small Shopify store?
For a small store that answers customers by hand, yes: Starter at $10 and Basic at $50 a month are cheap, and the helpdesk is never priced per agent, as of October 2026. It gets harder to justify once the AI Agent is on, because every automated interaction is billed and also counts as a ticket, and the owner still does the setup.
