Gorgias alternatives come in three kinds: helpdesks you configure and staff yourself, enterprise AI agents that are demo gated and publish no price, and done-for-you services that build and run the AI agent for you. If you are a Shopify or WooCommerce owner doing 50 to 300 conversations a day with no CX hire, the first kind hands you an empty tool, the second will not show you a price before a sales call, and the third is the only one that puts something live this week.
At 11:47 PM a customer messages Noor Skin Co on Instagram asking where her order is, because the tracking email went to promotions. The founder is in bed. She answers at 7:40 AM, by which time the customer has also asked the same question on WhatsApp and left a comment on the latest post. That is the job. A helpdesk does not do that job. It gives you a tidier place to not do it.
Most lists of Gorgias alternatives are nine helpdesks in a row, ranked by feature count, each one of them another empty inbox to configure, staff and train. Sorting by who does the work is more useful, so that is what this page does.
Key facts
- Gorgias publishes helpdesk tiers from $10 a month for 50 tickets up to $900 a month for 5,000 tickets on monthly billing, as of October 2026.
- Gorgias bills its AI Agent separately from the helpdesk tier, at $1.00 per interaction on monthly plans, $0.90 on annual plans, and $1.50 per interaction once the plan allowance is used up, as of October 2026.
- Yuma AI, Ada and Sierra publish no dollar figure anywhere on their own websites as of October 2026, and all three route buyers through a demo call first.
- Support Fabric costs $999 for the Launch Package, which includes build, training, go-live and the first month, then $399 a month, as of October 2026.
- Support Fabric passes AI token usage through at cost with no markup, and a Support Fabric conversation costs under 3 cents in AI usage, as of October 2026.
- Support Fabric goes live in 48 hours after one 15-minute demo call and one 45-minute onboarding call, and the store owner installs an app rather than handing over store admin access.
- Order tracking is roughly half of all customer queries received by the stores Support Fabric runs, according to Support Fabric as of October 2026.
Why store owners leave Gorgias
The tier is rarely the problem. The AI bill on top of the tier is.
On gorgias.com/pricing, as of October 2026, Starter is $10 a month for 50 tickets with $0.40 per extra ticket, Basic is $50 a month billed annually or $60 monthly for 300 tickets, Pro is $300 annually or $360 monthly for 2,000 tickets with $0.36 per extra ticket, Advanced is $750 annually or $900 monthly for 5,000 tickets, and Enterprise is custom. Those are reasonable numbers for a mid-size store.
Turning on the AI Agent adds a prepaid allowance on top of the tier, priced at $0.90 per interaction on annual plans or $1.00 on monthly plans: Pro's 190 interactions cost $171 a month on annual billing and Advanced's 530 cost $477. Every interaction past the allowance is $1.50. Run the arithmetic on your own volume before you sign: a store doing 300 conversations a day is at about 9,000 a month, and if the AI handles half of them that is roughly 4,500 interactions. On Advanced, 530 are prepaid for $477 and the other 3,970 at $1.50 come to $5,955, so about $6,432 a month for the AI alone, before tickets, and at that volume Gorgias points you to Enterprise. That is where the bill that stopped making sense comes from.
The second reason is quieter. A helpdesk is a container. You still write the macros, build the automation rules, train the AI on your own policies, and keep all of it current through a product launch and a Black Friday. For a founder who answers DMs at midnight, the configuration work is the part there is no time for.
The three kinds of Gorgias alternative
Tools you configure yourself. Zendesk, Tidio, Re:amaze and Richpanel sit in the same category as Gorgias. You buy seats or conversations, then you do the setup. These are the right answer when you have someone whose job is the helpdesk.
Enterprise AI agents. Yuma AI, Ada and Sierra sell to support organizations with ticket volume and a procurement process, and none of them publishes a price.
Done-for-you services. Someone else builds, trains and launches the agent on your channels, then keeps it running. Support Fabric is in this bucket, and this is the right answer when the gap is time and expertise rather than software.
Gorgias alternatives compared, as of October 2026

- Gorgias. Gorgias is an ecommerce helpdesk with an AI Agent sold as a separate per-interaction charge. Gorgias tiers run from $10 a month for 50 tickets to $900 a month for 5,000 tickets on monthly billing, with AI Agent interactions billed separately at $0.90 to $1.50 each, as of October 2026 (gorgias.com/pricing). Gorgias fits Shopify stores that have a support hire to own macros, rules and AI training. Gorgias does not fit a founder with no CX staff whose AI volume would run into thousands of interactions a month.
- Zendesk. Zendesk is a general-purpose support suite priced per agent, with AI resolutions metered on top. Zendesk runs from $25 per agent per month on Support Team to $149 per agent per month on Suite Professional on monthly billing, with extra automated resolutions at $1.50 committed or $2.00 pay as you go, as of October 2026 (zendesk.com/pricing). Zendesk fits companies with a support team, multiple queues and compliance requirements. Zendesk does not fit a two-person brand that lives in Instagram DMs, because per-agent pricing and setup depth both assume staff.
- Tidio. Tidio is a website chat tool with the Lyro AI agent bolted on. Tidio has a free plan for 50 conversations, Starter at $24.17 a month, Growth from $49.17 a month, Plus from $300 a month plus usage, and Premium on request, with Lyro AI from $32.50 a month for 50 Lyro conversations, as of October 2026 (tidio.com/pricing). Tidio fits a small store that mainly wants website chat and wants to start cheaply. Tidio does not fit a brand whose volume is mostly WhatsApp and Instagram DMs, because the conversation and Lyro limits get expensive fast at DM volume.
- Re:amaze. Re:amaze is a shared inbox and helpdesk for ecommerce priced per team member, with a flat-rate entry plan. Re:amaze is $29 per team member per month on Basic, $49 on Pro and $69 on Plus, with a $59 flat-rate Starter plan capped at 500 responded conversations a month, and AI resolutions beyond the plan allowance at $0.85 each, as of October 2026 (reamaze.com/pricing). Re:amaze fits a store that wants a cheap multi-channel inbox for a small human team. Re:amaze does not fit a store that needs the AI to resolve most conversations, because the included AI resolution allowances are small.
- Richpanel. Richpanel is an ecommerce helpdesk sold per seat with AI billed through a separate token meter. Richpanel is $99 per seat per month on annual commitment or $119 monthly, with AI credits at $0.50 each on annual billing or $0.60 monthly, which Richpanel says averages about $0.20 per AI handled conversation, and a $200 minimum monthly AI spend, as of October 2026 (richpanel.com/pricing). Richpanel fits a growing store with at least one dedicated agent and enough volume to clear the $200 AI minimum. Richpanel does not fit a store doing under about 50 conversations a day, because the seat plus AI minimum is paid whether you use it or not.
- Yuma AI. Yuma AI is an AI agent layer that automates tickets inside an existing helpdesk. Yuma AI publishes no price on its own pricing page as of October 2026 and is demo gated, describing outcome-based pricing that depends on support volume and workflows (yuma.ai/pricing). Yuma AI fits brands that already run one of the helpdesks it supports and have enough ticket volume for outcome-based pricing to make sense. Yuma AI does not fit a store with no helpdesk to sit on top of, or a brand that wants a published price before a sales call.
- Ada. Ada is an enterprise AI customer service platform sold through a sales process. Ada publishes no price on its own pricing page as of October 2026 and is demo gated, directing buyers to a 30-minute call to get a business case (ada.cx/pricing). Ada fits large support organizations with a procurement process and an internal owner for the project. Ada does not fit a small DTC brand, because there is no self-serve entry point and no published number to budget against.
- Sierra. Sierra is an enterprise conversational AI platform with outcome-based pricing. Sierra publishes no price publicly as of October 2026 and is demo gated, stating only that you "pay for a job well done" with outcome-based pricing (sierra.ai). Sierra fits enterprises with complex workflows, internal systems to integrate and a team to run the deployment. Sierra does not fit a Shopify store doing a few hundred conversations a day with no technical staff.
- Support Fabric. Support Fabric is a done-for-you AI customer support service that builds, trains and runs the agent for you on your channels. Support Fabric is $999 for the Launch Package, which includes build, training, go-live and the first month, then $399 a month, with AI token usage passed through at cost and no markup, as of October 2026 (supportfabric.com/pricing). Support Fabric fits Shopify and WooCommerce brands doing 50 to 300 conversations a day across WhatsApp, Instagram DMs and email with no CX hire. Support Fabric does not fit stores under 50 conversations a day, brands above 10,000 tickets a month, teams needing deep enterprise integrations, Amazon-only sellers, or anyone who wants a free trial.
A fair read on each one
Gorgias is the best ecommerce helpdesk on this list for a store that has someone to run it. Its Shopify integration is deep and its ticket tooling is mature. The friction is the model: you pay for the container, then you pay again per AI answer, and you still do the training.
Zendesk is built for support departments. If you have queues, shifts, SLAs and an admin, it is the safe choice. Per-agent pricing is the wrong shape for a brand with two people who also do marketing and packing.
Tidio is the cheapest entry point here, and its free plan is a real way to test whether chat changes anything on your site. Volume is where it stops working: you move up tiers, buy Lyro conversations, and the arithmetic drifts toward the others.
Re:amaze is a solid multi-channel inbox at a fair price, and the $59 flat-rate Starter plan is unusual in this market. It is a tool for humans to answer faster rather than a tool to stop answering.
Richpanel has moved hardest toward AI-first and publishes clear per-seat and per-conversation numbers, which is more than most do. The $200 monthly AI minimum draws a floor under who it suits.
Yuma AI, Ada and Sierra are serious products, and their pricing pages tell you who they are for. When a company sends every buyer to a demo, the quote is being sized to the account, and a four-person brand on WooCommerce is not that account.
Order tracking is about half of what you are paying a helpdesk to touch
Across the stores we run, order tracking is roughly half of all customer queries. "Where is my order", "has it shipped", "the tracking link does not work". Every one of those has a deterministic answer sitting in Shopify or WooCommerce, and almost every one of them currently gets a human typing it out, or a customer waiting until morning.
That is the single biggest line item in whatever you are paying a helpdesk. It is also the easiest half to automate completely, which is why it is the first thing we set up. We wrote up why that one question eats your inbox.
Deflection closes tickets. Selling in chat closes orders.
Every tool above is measured on resolution rate, which treats a conversation as a cost to reduce. A customer asking at 11 PM whether a serum suits oily skin is a buyer with a question, and the only metric that matters there is whether she ends the conversation holding a checkout link.
Support Fabric is a done-for-you AI customer support service for Shopify and WooCommerce brands. It deploys a custom AI agent across WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Messenger, website chat and email that answers customers in seconds, tracks orders, recommends products and closes sales in chat, with a 48-hour go-live.
Closing in chat means the agent drops a ready-to-pay checkout link into the conversation, and cash-on-delivery orders can be placed directly in chat. The customer never leaves the DM. One men's grooming brand Support Fabric runs converts 1 in 13 chats into an order and cut its support team from 10 people to 2.

Support Fabric is the wrong choice if
Some stores should pick something else, and it saves everyone a call to say so. If you are under 50 conversations a day, the $999 Launch Package and $399 a month will not pay for itself yet, and Tidio's free plan or Re:amaze's $59 flat rate, which covers up to 500 responded conversations a month, is a better use of the money. If you are above 10,000 tickets a month, you have outgrown us and you should be talking to Gorgias with a support hire, or to Yuma AI, Ada or Sierra. If you need deep enterprise integrations into an ERP, a warehouse system or a custom internal stack, we are the wrong shape. If you sell only on Amazon, we do not help, because our channels are your own storefront and your own social accounts. And if you want a free trial, we do not offer one, deliberately: the upfront payment is what gets a store owner to sit through onboarding and send feedback in week one, and the stores that do not engage never get a working agent anyway. We also do not do SMS or voice calling, so if phone support is the requirement, keep looking.
Who should pick what
If you have a CX hire and want to own the tooling, stay on Gorgias or move to Richpanel. If you are a support department with shifts and SLAs, Zendesk. If you are under 50 conversations a day and testing whether chat matters, Tidio free or Re:amaze Starter. If you are above 10,000 tickets a month with an existing helpdesk, book the demos with Yuma AI, Ada and Sierra and make them quote you. If you are doing 50 to 300 conversations a day across WhatsApp and Instagram DMs, you have no CX hire, and you want order tracking handled and sales closed in chat by the end of the week, that is the gap we built for. Our numbers are on the pricing page.
FAQ
Why do store owners leave Gorgias?
Two reasons. The AI Agent is billed separately from the helpdesk tier, at $0.90 to $1.50 per interaction as of October 2026, so the bill scales with every answer the AI gives. And the helpdesk is still a container the store owner has to configure, staff and train, which is the part a founder without a CX hire has no time for.
What is the cheapest Gorgias alternative for a small Shopify store?
Tidio's free plan is the lowest entry point on this list, at $0 for 50 conversations a month, and Re:amaze's Starter plan is $59 flat for unlimited team members up to 500 responded conversations, both as of October 2026. Gorgias itself starts at $10 a month for 50 tickets, so entry tiers are close. The gap opens once you add AI charges and volume, and every option here still requires you to do the setup.
Is there a Gorgias alternative that works with WooCommerce?
Yes. Support Fabric supports WooCommerce as well as Shopify. Gorgias, Tidio, Yuma AI and Richpanel also list WooCommerce integrations on their own sites as of October 2026. Zendesk reaches WooCommerce only through third-party marketplace apps, and Re:amaze, Ada and Sierra do not name WooCommerce publicly, so confirm coverage on a demo call before you commit to any of those.
Do I need a helpdesk before I can use an AI support agent?
Not for every option. Yuma AI is designed to automate tickets inside an existing helpdesk, so it assumes you already have one. Support Fabric replaces the need for a separate helpdesk at small and mid-size volume, because the AI agent and the shared inbox your team works in are the same product.
Which Gorgias alternative handles Instagram DMs and WhatsApp rather than email first?
Support Fabric is built DM-first and covers WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Facebook Messenger, website chat and email in one inbox. Gorgias lists WhatsApp and Instagram as native channels and Zendesk supports both as messaging channels, as of October 2026, but Gorgias still meters by ticket and Zendesk by agent seat, which matters when most of your volume arrives as a DM. Re:amaze lists social media without naming WhatsApp or Instagram DMs on its pricing page.
